What is this now–the second week of school? Something like that? If so, then why does it feel like I’m already in the middle of 8 different projects?
Oh, it’s because I am.
I’d hate to bother you with the details, but then again..I remember this is my blog and I can do what I please. Let’s start with the top:
1. AAA
- (includes but is not limited to) 2 fundraisers, the formal, the guest speaker, the funds, the script, Awareness Night in general, new members, the socials
2. Phoenix
- website, website, website–oh wait: it is pronounced Web site (two words, for you AP stylers out there)
3. TNJN
- This may need some ’splainin. I decided to join the Tennessee Journalist this semester working with operations and working with TNJN radio (music podcasts). I’m really stoked about it.
4. Work
The other PT-er at work is off for surgery for a few weeks, so I’ve been rolling in some extra hours. Well, I suppose the correct term is that I have this “opportunity” of making extra hours. But for some reason, I also feel like with the course load I’ve got (15 hrs including 3 JEM classes, a history course, AND advanced Japanese) plus all these extra circulars, that I could just stick to the 16 regular hours I get.
But then that little guilt birdie who often sits on my shoulder seems to say, “No. No, you should take advantage of this, Linda. You’ll regret it when you need those hours later…like after Christmas..when you’re broke. Haha, yeah you know it.”
The guilt birdie is often a little snarky. She also sounds a lot like my mother.

On the bright side (of which I always turn to), I definitely feel more accomplished this semester–which is funny, because I haven’t actually accomplished any of it yet. But I feel like at the end of the semester, if I keep this momentum, I’ll definitely feel good. If anything, I’ll feel more like a journalist. Which is always a plus.
Of course.
