9 things I’m currently obsessed with:

1. Young Adult/Teen paranormal novels -

Don’t you dare call me a Twihard, but I can’t help myself. I am a  bookaholic. And a bad kind, at that. I like TEEN FICTION. I stop at a McKays and I have to squeeze by 12 year olds begging for a bigger allowance to browse.

I went to Books-A-Million the other day and bought two more books when I know I have six other books (plus some I’m  borrowing from friends) sitting on my shelf. A friend from work gave me audio books so I could try to accomplish something.

2. Mike Posner’s “Cooler than Me” – I. Can’t. Help. Myself. It’s just so darn catchy.

3. Grey’s Anatomy – I’m serious, I can’t stop watching this series. Maybe it has to do with the fact that’s 100% drama all of the time, and I can’t get enough of it. It offers some kind of escape, you know. High intense doctor escape.

4. Period dramas – Among my favorites are Bright Star, The Young Victoria, and anything Jane Austen. I just found out that BBC released another version of Emma on DVD. Must have. MUST.

5. Wikipedia – Whether it has to do with famous people, politicians, British monarchs, novels, TV series plotlines, etc. I watch a commercial, I immediate “wiki” it. I see a celebrity do a spot on a primetime talk show, I “wiki.” I’m in the middle of a historical period drama, within the first ten minutes, I’m on Wikipedia. I don’t know why I impulsively must look something up on Wikipedia. I don’t Google anymore. I “wiki.” I “wiki” like the wind.

6. Etsy – It does not help that I am ridiculously in love with indie/hipster/hand made jewelry.

7. Community Channel and the Natalie Tran phenomenon – April recently introduced me to this very hilarious Vlogger on Youtube named Natalie Tran. She’s a Viet-Aussie and I hate her because she makes these awesome videos out of every day nuances and awkward situations. Now, you may think it’s harsh–but I really do hate her..because I feel like I could do that! I could be very witty and cute and make witty/cute videos for Youtube. What kills me is she’s Vietnamese. Basically, I want to BE her. But I can’t. ‘Cause I’m a loser.

8. Food – Or more specifically, how to diet without feeling miserable. I’m literally trying to control this whole vapid crazy obsession I have with the food I eat. It’s all disgusting, fatty, irresponsible. But I love it. Why do I love it? That’s why I obsess.

9. Layla Kennedy -

My new baby niece (born July 10, 2010). She’s gorgeous, ’nuff said.

Gatlinburg

Went to Gatlinburg with my buddies in Asian American Association (AAA). Went up to the Chimenys, had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, rode Go-Karts (which was totally awesome), and did a TON of shopping at the Tanger Outlet mall.

Overall, I think the social event was really fun,  even though it was at times chaotic. It was the first whole Saturday I’ve had off since last year when the PT hours got cut. I think it was worth it. :)

Free Flip Flops

Received free Aerie/AE flip flops outside of HSS today. Totally made my day. :)

April Fools

B and I dedicated to try an April Fools joke on our friends and family on Facebook today. Within ten minutes, we got comments and feedback. It was hilarious. Honestly, isn’t it a general rule to not believe ANYTHING anyone says on April 1st? It’s like opposite day.

Anyway, here’s the proof of how awesome we are:

And THIS:

Spotted: New Moon madness

And just when you thought the “Twilight craze” was over, here it comes back in full swing with the DVD Release of “New Moon.” Wal-Mart is excited, why aren’t you?

Now why couldn’t I have been TEAM Jacob? He’s got MUCH cuter merchandise.. :<

More temptation.

Curse you, F21!

lolwut: St. Patrick’s Day promo for F21

Forever21’s new St. Patrick’s Day promo is throwing me for a loop. Now, I may be a bit color blind or F21 is just going too far in their fashion ventures.

I’m sorry, but isn’t most of this merchandise BLUE? Maaaaybe teal, but that’s not exactly Irish Green,  is it?

I mean, I see a little green here and there, but look! There’s PURPLE and YELLOW. Compare the color of the clothes to that of the “GO GREEN” TITLE. Very little similarity.

And this:

…Just doesn’t make any sense. Forever21, you are going to get a lot of poor girls pinched. And I won’t be one of them!

Spring Break Part 1: Relax and get fat

Yes, while everyone is off tanning at the beach, cruising, or having some other kind of time of their lives, I’m at home  lounging. I’m determined to start gaining about 50% of the weight I want to lose before bikini season. Okay, I’m kidding there. I’m never in shape for bikini season, let alone pretend to work out just for it.

So far, I’ve been to Redbox twice (Into the Air was pretty cute, Coco Before Chanel was OK), I’ve played guitar covers (Jay Sean, Justin Bieber, Jesse McCartney, the basics), sang karaoke, went to a comedy club with friends, hung out with the BF, fought with the BF, rewatched The Young Victoria online, ate more junk food…

Well, the list goes on. So far, Spring Break isn’t all it’s hyped up to be. But who am I kidding? I don’t think I’ve actually HAD a real vacation-going during Spring Break ever. Maybe next year. Meh, I’m not exactly the girls-gone-wild MTV Spring Break in Cancun type in the first place.

So, I’ve decided to do what I do best on Spring Break. Relax and get fat.

I’m more a homebody anyway. A Redbox-rent-a-day-junk-food-chick-flick-blogger-wallow-in-peace kind of girl. I think I may go to the library tomorrow though and check out a few novels.

Life story.

Thought this was kind of funny and ironic considering B absolutely hates Restaurant City. XD

Awareness Night update

Been super busy planning the Asian American Association (AAA)’s culture night. It’s set for Friday, March 19, 2010 in the Carousel theater on campus. As a director, it’s my responsibility to organize the whole event from talent to budget to tickets to publicity. It’s pretty stressful.

I’ve bee working on a few commercials:
